character.ai alternative
A Character.AI alternative for
group stories.
Character.AI is a well-known place to chat with AI characters. Vekna AI suits players who want more of the story: several heroes and friends in one scene, an AI game master with d20 checks, and characters who keep living between your conversations.

Why players look for an alternative
People who like AI characters often want a shared story rather than a single chat: a party, a plot, dice and consequences. Vekna AI is built around exactly that.
- Group scenes with several AI heroes and friends
- An AI game master that runs the plot
- d20 checks that keep outcomes open
- 2
Characters with a life of their own
On Vekna AI a character has memory, moods and relationships, talks to other heroes while you are away and may write first in the browser or Telegram.
- Long-term memory of you and your choices
- Initiative: the hero starts conversations
- Voice rooms with characters speaking aloud
- 3
Create and share your own
Persona Studio describes a hero by character, voice, biography and boundaries. Versions are saved, and you can publish the hero to the catalog.
- Versioned characters with rollback
- Public catalog and a private story per player
- Free to start, no installation
